Created to foster clean energy projects that deliver sustainable fuels to U.S. markets, Carbon Cycle Energy (C2e) is a Boulder, Colorado-based renewable energy development company that converts organic agricultural and industrial food waste into pipeline-grade biomethane for direct injection into the natural gas pipeline system.

Our Mission

C2e’s mission is to build and operate the world’s largest utility-scale renewable fuel production facilities that will transform the way the world uses wasted organic materials, and in so doing, create a durable, net-zero supply of biomethane.

C2e’s core management team has been involved in a wide range of renewable energy and industrial processing projects. We have developed strategic alliances with leaders in the field of anaerobic digestion, gas separation and process engineering.

The C2e team has extensive experience designing, building and operating biotechnology, specialty chemical, and pharmaceutical processing plants for Fortune 100 companies worldwide, as well as renewable energy expertise on major capital projects.

C2e brings in-house environmental, health, and safety specialists with proven experience in establishing sound practices to ensure an injury-free work environment and stewardship of precious air, land, and water resources.

C2e has partnered with world class EPC firm, Swinerton Builders to construct our facilities and Boulder-based APECS Engineering for our facility design. Our anaerobic digesters are designed by U.S. market leaders for anaerobic digester technology, DVO, Inc. and Anaergia.
